Sparvel
It’s wonderful to be five years old! But sometimes, it can be terrible too. That’s exactly how our performance about Sparvel is — full of ups and downs, twists and turns. Just like life. This theatre is performed in Swedish.
Based on Barbro Lindgren’s books
Sparvel is inspired by Barbro Lindgren’s autobiographical trilogy. Through Sparvel, we experience how lighthearted, difficult, and strange the world can seem when you’re still too young to fully understand it or haven’t had it explained yet.
As terrible as it can be to be five years old, that’s how terrible our show can be. But being five can also be wonderful — and so is our performance! Sure, some characters don’t make it through, but Sparvel does, of course, because it’s her story. She, and most others, grow up to be six, seven, and beyond — and life stays wonderfully terrible, just as it should be. Life is full of ups and downs, both in little Abrahamsberg and in the big world beyond the highways.
