On October 24, 2024, the doors to Stig In! Sleep lost and hide away at Junibacken. A completely new type of experience inspired by Pija Lindenbaum’s beloved books. Take your adult in hand and step into a winding journey of discovery that awakens your senses.
This is a dream for me! To create a different exhibition for children and their adults. At Junibacken!

As a visitor, you can look forward to experiencing a range of imaginative environments inspired by the books Vitvivan och Gullsippan, Gittan gömmer bort sej, Gittan och gråvargarna, Siv sover vilse and Pudlar och pommes.

This is this year's big investment where a completely new experience takes place at Junibacken. Feeling, smelling and listening are part of the new experience. Everything we offer is based on the children's book with the goal of igniting the spark to lifelong reading, which is why Pija's work was an obvious choice for us. We welcome one of the country's foremost and most acclaimed picture book creators.

Pija Lindenbaum has a special ability to portray children's emotions and inner worlds. Through her stories, she helps us understand and process our own feelings. And she treats existential topics with great humor. Pija's books always make us at Junibacken laugh out loud!
